The Contempt Petition is filed alleging that though this Court directed to provide temporary accommodation to the members of the writ petitioner Association to carry on their business till new market complex in the existing old Mahatma Gandhi market to be constructed, out of 540 members, only 170 were allotted and the remaining were not allotted.

2. Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the State would submit that the District Collector has identified the place owned by the Police Department adjacent to Jawahar Thidal and has allotted space to all the members and some of them have already taken possession and rest of them are at liberty to take possession and put up temporary shops and they can take up the possession of the space allotted to them and occupy the same till their allotted space to be constructed as shopping complex.

3. The photographs of the space alloted have also been shown to the Court for appreciation.

4. The learned Counsel appearing for the Contempt petitioner admits that the members have been allotted space, but certain amenities are yet to be provided.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader, in response, submits that necessary amenities are also to be done.

6. In view of the above fact, this Court records the compliance of the order and the Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, the connected SubApplication (MD)No.19 of 2023 is closed.
