ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter namely Nirmala Devi, aged about 25 years, D/o.R.K.Moorthi before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.Alleging that the petitioner's daughter aged about 25 years was missing from 04.04.2025 and despite registering a case in Cr.No.86 of 2025 as 'Woman Missing', no steps were taken by the second respondent police, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that

based on the complaint given by the petitioner in respect of missing of her daughter, a case has been registered in Crime No.86/2025 under the caption of Woman Missing on 04.04.2025.

5. Pursuant to the issuance of notice, the second respondent has produced the detenue before this Court today. We enquired the detenue. During the course of enquiry, she stated that she had gone out of the home on her own volition since her mother has arranged marriage against her wishes. She further stated that she is working as lab technician in Madurai and she is not under illegal detention of anybody and she has expressed her willingness to go along with her mother.

6. Recording the statement of the detenu/missing person, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
