ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2024 regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds in Naranapuram Panchayat, Tenkasi District.

3.According to the petitioner, one Mariammal was elected as President of Naranapuram Panchayat and was involved in the misappropriation of Panchayat funds. Furthermore, no estimation has been prepared, no public tender has been called for and no M-book has been maintained by the Panchayat President. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent. Since no action has been taken on the representation, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on its own merits within a time frame stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, we direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.10.2024, after affording sufficient opportunity of personal hearing to the parties concerned and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
