The petitioner, who is the first accused in Crime No.810 of 2010, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in the above said crime number within the stipulated time. 1/4

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that when he applied for a passport, the passport authority rejected the petitioner's application by referring to the pendency of the case, which was registered against him in the year 2010.

3.In the earlier occasion, this Court directed the respondent police to find out the stage of the enquiry in Crime No.810 of 2010. Immediately, the respondent police woke up and filed a final report in a mechanical manner and also produced a detail that they had filed the final report in E-filing No.PRC-LTN20230000262C202400201 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.5, Madurai. 4.Since the final report has already been filed by the respondent respondent police, the petitioner has to workout his remedy before the concerned Court.
