Heard Mr.S.Sundarapandian, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.A.Shahjahan, learned Standing Counsel for the 4th respondent.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, seeking direction against the respondents to disburse the medical reimbursement to the petitioner for a sum of Rs.41,739/- on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2023. 2/5

Mr.S.Sundarapandian, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been diagnosed with chronic Constipation dysfunction dispense and abdominal ailments in the Vadamalaiyan Hospital for the period from 05.09.2023 to 07.09.2023. The petitioner being a pensioner and comes under National Health Insurance Scheme, is eligible to get medical reimbursement. In this regard, she also made a representation dated 11.09.2023 to the fourth respondent through proper channel. Since the claim of the petitioner regarding medical reimbursement has not been considered so far, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition.

Since the petitioner's claim is pending for more than several months, the fourth respondent is directed to take a call and pass orders in accordance with the National Health Insurance Scheme, after getting papers from the authorities, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
