Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner's temple festival for conducting "Kabaddi" on 31.01.2017 at about 06.00 p.m. to 01.02.2017 at about 06.00 a.m. in St.Anthoniyar Church, at Thirumalapuram Village, Vijayanarayanam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Maharaja For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to grant permission for conducting Kabaddi Tournament in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 18.01.2017 the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following order can be passed.

Vijayanarayanam Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to look into the representation dated 18.01.2017 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
