O R D E R

The petitioner seeks issuance of a relationship certificate based on his representation dated 21.04.2021 to the first respondent.

2. The petitioner claims ownership through inheritance to land situated in S.F.No.1/16, Kayangulam Group 84, Kuttithinni Village, Thambanusilangulam Sub-Division.

3. The petitioner states that by proceedings dated 15.02.2019 the District Revenue Officer rejected a claim made by the petitioner's brother on the ground of non-production of documents establishing right title and interest in the property as well as the relevant death certificates, legal heirship certificates, relationship certificates and the like.

4. The petitioner claims that he has obtained all other certificates except the relationship certificate and that a representation was submitted for such purpose to the first respondent on 21.04.2021.

From the documents on record, it is not possible to conclude as to whether the petitioner has indeed obtained the documents referred to in the proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai District dated 15.02.2019. In any case, in view of the limited relief claimed in the present petition, it is not necessary to examine or determine such aspects.

6. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2021 and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Such reasoned order shall be passed after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any others affected thereby.

7. W.P(MD).No.13777 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
