O R D E R

The matter was listed on 24.04.2026. On that day, the learned Deputy Solicitor General representing the Civil Revision Petitioner submitted that some breathing time may be granted to the National Highways Authority to move the Supreme Court and obtain orders in the SLP preferred against the order of this Court. Considering the plea made by the learned Deputy Solicitor General, this Court directed that the amounts be called for but not be disbursed. The matter was listed today to enable the learned Deputy Solicitor General to report whether any interim order had been granted by the Supreme Court.

2. When the matter was taken up, it was represented that the Supreme Court has not granted stay of the operation of the order but has adjourned the matter to 31.07.2026. As no order of stay has been obtained, there is no necessity to continue the interim order. All that the learned Principal District Judge, Theni, acting as the Executing Court, has done is to implement the order passed by the Arbitrator, as modified and confirmed by the District Judge and by this Court. The order is unimpeachable. As the National Highways Authority has not been able to obtain a stay despite having been granted two months' time, I am not inclined to extend the interim order any further. 2/4

3. In view of the above, the Civil Revision Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
