ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to reissue the passport to the petitioner based on his application on the file of the first respondent. 2.This writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission after dispensing with notice on the third respondent, who appears to be the defacto complainant and who had initiated criminal proceedings against the petitioner in Crime No.199 of 2020 before the second respondent for the alleged offence under Section 294 (b), 506 (2) of IPC and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3.It is informed by the learned counsel for the official respondents that the charge sheet has been framed and the case is pending for trial before the 2/5

learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchendur in C.C.No.333 of 2022 and the case is listed for hearing on 17.06.2025.

4.Under these circumstances, the question of granting relief to the petitioner does not arise. It is open for the petitioner to approach the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchendur for appropriate relief in accordance with the provisions of the Passports Act, 1967. In any event, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchendur shall endeavour to dispose of the above C.C.No.333 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible.
