ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2018.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a widow and that she is living with her son and mother in law. He further would submit that on 08.08.2018 the third respondent and her husband, who are respectively the parents of the petitioner, quarrelled with her and assaulted her with wooden log and again on 30.08.2018 they repeatedly did the same thing and the petitioner sustained injuries. Thereby, the petitioner had preferred a complaint to the second respondent police station on 24.09.2018. The second respondent issued C.S.R.No.469 of 2018. However, no appropriate action has been taken by the respondent police. Since no action was taken by the respondent police, the petitioner had sent a complaint to the first respondent on 26.09.2018, requesting him to take appropriate action and no action has been taken so far and thereby, the petition has been filed seeking for the said relief.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint given by the complainant, the second respondent had initiated proceedings in G3/45638/3062/2018 and had summoned the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 20.10.2018 at 10.00 a.m., whereas, the petitioner has not appeared. He further would submit that if the petitioner appears for enquiry and if the case is made out against the proposed accused, the petitioner would register the case against them and take appropriate action. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) this criminal original petition is closed.
