This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission and provide adequate police protection to conduct Temple Festival of 'Sri Maha Mariamman Temple' situated at Sittilarai Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District to be held on 04.05.2025 to 08.05.2025 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2025.
2. According to the petitioner, he is one of the Villager and the villagers have decided to conduct Temple Festival of 'Sri Maha Mariamman Temple' situated at Sittilarai Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District to be held on 04.05.2025 to 08.05.2025. Therefore, he sent a representation dated 19.04.2025 for grant of permission and police Page No. 2 of 5
protection, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that they received the representation of the petitioner and already the same was considered and forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Musiri Taluk for enquiry.
4. Mr.M.Senthil Ayyanar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the 3rd respondent and he would submit that the representation of the petitioner is pending for conducting enquiry.
5. Recording the above said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner's representation was already considered and the same was forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Musiri Taluk for enquiry and the same is pending, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to conduct enquiry and take appropriate decision in accordance with law on or before 03.05.2025, after affording an opportunity to both the parties.

6. Since the 3rd respondent is Suo-Motu impleaded in this case as per the order of this Court on 29.04.2025, the Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendment in the cause title.
7. With the above observation and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
