O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant patta in favour of the petitioner on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner dated 27.03.2017. 2.Heard Mr.B.Jameel Arasu, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.C.Selvaraj, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record. 3.According to the petitioner, she purchased 251⁄2 cents of land in Survey No.157/1A4A in Boothakudi Village, Viralimalai Taluk through a registered sale deed, dated 11.12.2015 from one Sayyed Ibrahim. Since the date of her purchase, she has been in possession and enjoyment of the same.

4.The petitioner would claim that the patta in respect of the property is standing in the name of her vendor's vendor namely Lakshmi. Hence, she approached the respondents for transfer of patta. Thereafter, the first respondent in his proceedings, dated 22.04.2016, directed the second respondent to take appropriate action. As no action was taken on the same, the petitioner has sent a detailed reminder to the respondents on 27.03.2017. In respect of the same, no action was taken, hence the present Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the Writ petition and the submissions of the learned Counsel for the respondents, this Writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.03.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunities to all the necessary parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
