(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that his representation dated 22.04.2025, seeking to survey and eradicate/removal of the Nanal Plants (Bulrush) spread across the banks of the Vaigai river in Town Survey No.14, Paramakudi Town, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, has been kept pending without any progress. Hence, he has filed this Writ Petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents submitted that funds have been allotted by the Government for the removal of Nanal plants. The respondents have also initiated the process and the same will be completed within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

4.In view of the abovesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to remove the Nanal Plants (Bulrush) spread across the banks of the Vaigai river in Town Survey No.14, Paramakudi Town, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, within a period of ten months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
