Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to delete the petitioner's name stands in the petitioner's son's family card in No.25G0023920 and issue a separate family card to the petitioner and consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2020.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to delete the petitioner's name standing in the petitioner's son's family card in No.25G0023920 and issue a separate family card to the petitioner. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that she is aged 75 years and is living separately and not with her son. However, the family card standing in the name of the petitioner's son also includes the name of the petitioner. According to the petitioner, in such 1/3

circumstances, she is unable to apply for a fresh family card. Therefore, she has given a representation on 21.08.2020 to the respondent to delete her name from her son's family card and issue a separate family card in her name.

3.Mrs.Rajeshwari, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and on instructions, she would submit that any application for issuance of family card or for deletion of any of the names, will have to be made only through online and not by physical submission. According to her, in the instant case, since the petitioner submitted the application physically, the respondents have not processed the said application. She would submit that if the petitioner submits the application through online, the respondents will consider the same within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the online application. 4.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court disposes of this writ petition by permitting the petitioner to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to submit the application for deletion of her name from her son's family card and for issuance of a fresh family card in her name, through online and on receipt of the said online application, the respondent shall pass appropriate orders regarding deletion of her name from her son's family card and issuance of a fresh family card in petitioner's name on merits within a period of three weeks thereafter.

5.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
