O R D E R

An order dated 18.03.2025 of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ramanathapuram, cancelling Patta No.5505 is challenged herein.

2. The short ground of challenge is that the said patta was issued jointly to Antony Mary and Josepine Mary/petitioner, whereas notice was issued only to Antony Mary.

3. In spite of service of notice and the name of the third respondent being printed in the cause list, the third respondent remains unrepresented.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the petitioner was not heard before the impugned order was issued and that the matter may require reconsideration for that reason. 2/4

5. On perusal of the impugned order, it appears that only Antony Mary was heard and not Josepine Mary. On that limited ground, the impugned order is set aside and the matter is remanded for reconsideration. Such reconsideration shall be undertaken after putting all parties concerned, including the third respondent herein, on notice and providing them a reasonable opportunity. A speaking order shall be issued within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This writ petition is disposed of on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 11.09.2025 NCC :No Internet :Yes Index :No PKN To
