ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused No.4, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) and 25 of NDPS Act in Crime No.164 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 08.05.2023, on secret information, the respondent police went to Tiruchendur Road and searched the vehicle. The police party opened the vehicle standing in PHM Firm and found contraband in the fishing box and took wetting contraband white colour plastic bag numbering 3 and each white colour plastic bag containing 40 kgs of Ganja, totally 120 Kgs of Ganja recovered. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

5.It is seen that there are totally eight accused, in which, the petitioner is arraigned as A.4. After seeing the police personnel, the accused flew away from the scene of the crime. There are materials to connect the petitioner along with other accused persons. All the accused persons have conspired together and possessed contraband containing 120 kgs of Ganja. Therefore, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case.
