The petitioners seek a direction to the official respondents to consider their representation dated 21.10.2024 and pass final orders within the stipulated time.

Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Vigneshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the fourth respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that the property situate in S.No.320/6 [Old S.No.185/1 and 2] originally belongs to the petitioners' 2/6

father Duraisami. According to the petitioners, the said property was allotted to Duraisami in the family partition. It is further stated that the official respondents issued patta in favour of one Jacob Jeevanandam, who is the husband of 5th respondent and father of 6th respondent, erroneously. Therefore, the petitioners submitted a representation on 21.10.2024, seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of Jacob Jeevanandam. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioners have come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioners will be dealt with in accordance with law within the time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 21.10.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the petitioners and respondents 5 and 6.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
