Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to conduct a fresh enquiry under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules against the fifth, sixth and seventh respondents by some competent authority under the Revenue Department.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the first and second respondents to conduct fresh enquiry under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules against the respondents 5 to 7, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 has contended to the effect that already a full fledged enquiry has been conducted and a report has also been filed.

3.Considering the representation made on the side of the respondents 1 to 4, the relief sought in the Writ Petition has become infructuous and therefore the same deserves to be dismissed.
