Respondent PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue Patta to the petitioner for the residential house site situated in Survey No.271/23 measuring to an extent of 2.5 cents in Mela Eral Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District in the light of G.O.Ms.No.43, Revenue (Ni.Mu.(2)) Department, dated 29.01.2010 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court by considering the application of the petitioner dated 11.04.2017.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue Patta to the petitioner for the residential house site situated in Survey No.271/23 measuring to an extent of 2.5 cents in Mela Eral Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District in the light of G.O.Ms.No.43, Revenue (Ni.Mu.(2)) Department, dated 29.01.2010 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court by considering the application of the petitioner dated 11.04.2017. 2.Heard Mr.G.Thalaimutharasu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2017.

4.In light of the above facts and considering the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
