ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to expedite the investigation of Crime No.10 of 2020 registered on the file of the third respondent and to file a final report within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case in Crime NO. 10 of 2020 has been registered for the offences under Sections 454 and 380 IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that Rs.1.20 lakhs and 25 sovereigns of gold jewels were stolen and the date of occurrence is 22.01.2020. Even after lapse of more than 1 year, there is no progress in the investigation and the property have not been recovered so far.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far 29 witnesses have been examined and CDR is also verified but so far they are not in a position to find out any clue regarding the accused persons. He seeks 6 months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, 6 months time is granted to complete the investigation and to file a final report before the concerned court. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry.
