Heard Mr.C.Venkatesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel, for the respondents. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedingS initiated in pursuant to the charge memo issued by the 3rd respondent in Ku.No.U.Se.Po/Pa/ Cumbum/6Ni2/Ko.Marai/A.No.31-3/22-23, dated 10.10.2022.
3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The petitioner is working as a Foreman Grade I. While in service, he was issued with a charge memo, dated 10.10.2022 by the 3rd respondent stating that he has obtained illegal gratification of Rs.20,00,000/- from one A.Chinnamayan for securing employment to his son to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer and thereby, defrauded him. In this regard, the 4th respondent has conducted an enquiry and the same was closed. However, report of the enquiry has not been filed so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings in Ku.No.U.Se.Po/Pa/ Cumbum/ 6Ni2/Ko.Marai/ A.No.31-3/22-23, dated 10.10.2022, on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case or the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
