O R D E R

The petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondents 1 & 2, to amend the date of birth of the petitioner as 04.10.1992 instead of 04.05.1992 in S.S.L.C., Mark Sheet, bearing Certificate Serial Number SEC.4259584, Register Number 080854, dated 31.05.2007.

2. According to the petitioner, he was born on 04.10.1992 and his birth was also registered with Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation and they have also issued the birth certificate on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

30.09.2013. The petitioner would further state that his date of birth was correctly shown as 04.10.1992, in all the Government records and documents such as Higher Secondary Certificate, Mark Sheet, Voter Card, Aadaar Card, Driving License and Transfer Certificate. But, in the S.S.L.C., Certificate, his date of birth is wrongly mentioned as 04.05.1992. Hence, he approached the respondent for correction of his Date of Birth and also submitted a representation dated 16.06.2017. Since no favourable order was passed, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard V.Sasikumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.G.Muthukaruppan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
