PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse the salary to the petitioner from the Month of February onwards by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2024 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard Mr.S.Mohamed Suhail, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner was appointed as 'Assistant Engineer' on 22.12.2019 at Nallamanaikanpatti, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar EDC, Virudhunagar District. The grievance of the petitioner is that his salary has not been disbursed sofar from February 2024, because the initial and date of birth of the petitioner have 2/4
not been updated even after the recommendation made by the Deputy Chief Engineer / Personnel.
4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's initial and date of birth have been corrected by way of order passed by the Deputy Chief Engineer / Personnel on 05.04.2024.
5. In view of the same, there cannot be any difficulty for the respondents to disburse the pending salary from February 2024.
6. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to release the salary of the petitioner which is pending from February 2024 to till date within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
