PRAYER : FOR BAIL IN CRIME NO. 2435 OF 2020 ON THE FILE OF THE RESPONDENT POLICE.

ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested in connection with the case in Crime No.2435 of 2020 on the file of the respondent Police for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w. 20(b)(ii)(C), 29(1), 25 of NDPS Act and Section 8 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2000 and remanded to judicial custody, seeks bail.

2. This Court, by order dated 08.08.2022, granted interim bail to the petitioner, which has been extended till date.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner has misused the personal liberty granted by this Court and while on interim bail, he involved in another case in Crime No.431 of 2023 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thallakulam, Madurai, for the offence punishable under Section 379 IPC, for which, he has been remanded to judicial custody.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner has misused the personal liberty granted by this Court, interim bail already granted https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD) No.11633 of 2022 by this Court dated 08.08.2022 is hereby cancelled and the Criminal Original Petition is closed. The trial Court, namely, the learned Judge, Special Court for EC & NDPS Act cases, Madurai, is directed to conclude the trial proceedings (in Crime No.2435 of 2020) as expeditiously as possible.
