O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to complete the confiscation proceedings after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within the stipulated period of time that may be fixed by this Court for releasing the petitioner's vehicle viz., TVS XL bearing Registration No.TN 92 H 0549 seized by the second respondent.
2. Mr.K.Anand, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to complete the confiscation proceedings within a stipulated period after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
3. Heard Mr.J.K.Jeyaseelan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.
4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the
petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to complete the confiscation proceedings after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
