O R D E R

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to provide electricity service connection to the house of the petitioner situated at survey No. 16/23, Korampallam Village II, Muthaiahpuram, Thoothukudi within the time fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that only for the reason that the petitioner has not submitted proper application, the respondent is not in a position to give the electricity service connection. However, the petitioner is prepared to give one more fresh application within a day or two and on the receipt of the same, the respondent may be directed to consider the application for giving electricity service connection.

3. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent has also agreed to the said request that as and when an application has been submitted by the petitioner, his request would be considered.

4. Recording the submissions made by both sides, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh application within a day or two and on receipt of such application, the respondent shall consider the same within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
