Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner based on the representation dated 16.01.2017 to conduct Music Concert on 05.02.2017 from 07.00 p.m. onwards during the Church festival of St. Arulananthar Church, Thattanpatti Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District .

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Music Concert on 05.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 16.01.2017 the petitioner has given a representation to the respondent, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the present petition has been filed for getting the relief sought therein.

4.Considering the fact that a representation has been given on 16.01.2017 and the same has not been considered, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Alwarkurichi Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to look into the representation dated 16.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
