Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to include the street situated in Survey No.244/15 in Kurinchakulam Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District in the FMB Sketch which is omitted during updating Registry and make necessary corrections in the government revenue records within a time frame fixed by this Court. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner wants the petition mentioned land to be included as part of the public street.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the petition mentioned area has been classified in the revenue records only as a vacant site belonging to the Government. Since even according to them, it has never been classified as road, even while declining to grant relief as sought for, I direct the respondents to ensure that the petition mentioned site is not encroached by any private parties. It is for the Government to put the same to appropriate use.

4. With this direction to the respondents, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
