ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 406, 417, 420, 294(b) and 506(ii) of I.P.C., in Crime No.406 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused running chit fund and collected a sum of Rs.36,01,275/- from several persons and they failed to return the same. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and a false case has been foisted against https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
CRL OP(MD). No.9068 of 2023 him. He would further submit that due to money transaction between the defacto complainant and the first accused, the petitioner has falsely implicated in this case, the first accused is none other than the father of the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police would submit that the petitioner along with the other accused running chit fund company and collected a sum of Rs.36,01,275/- from several persons and they failed to return the same. Hence, he strongly objected to release the petitioner on bail.
5. Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also considering the amount involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
