W.P.(MD)No.13908 of 2020 2.This Writ Petition has been filed to issue appropriate direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24.09.2020 seeking a compassionate appointment. 3.Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has narrated all the relevant facts and his grievances in the appeal dated 24.09.2020. If the said appeal is directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time, the ends of justice could be secured.

4.Mr.T.Sakthi Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submits that the appeal was filed only on 24.09.2020 and the same will be disposed of within a period of eight weeks on merits and in accordance with law.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 24.09.2020 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
