2 W.P.(MD)NO.12354 OF 2024 Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reinstate the petitioner as Deacon of the Church of South India at Muttaikadu, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District for the triennium 2024-2027 and to permit the petitioner to participate in CSI Kanyakumari Diocesan Council election (to be held on 14.06.2024 and 15.06.2024) in the light of the order passed by this Court dated 18.03.2024 in W.P.(MD)No.4367 of 2024 and the order passed by the second respondent in order No.15 dated 29.04.2024. 2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is submitted that the order passed by this Court in favour of the petitioner will be implemented and that the petitioner would be restored to the status of Deacon on 16.06.2024. It appears that certain developments have taken 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.12354 OF 2024 place in the meanwhile and the clock cannot be put back. The learned counsel for the Hon'ble Administrator states that while the writ petition filed by the petitioner was allowed on 18.03.2024, selection among the Deacons had taken place on 10.03.2024.

3. Recording the stand of the respondents that the petitioner will be restored to the status of Deacon, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
