ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 5(d), 6, 16 and 17 of POCSO Act, in 1/4

Crime No.8 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the Probation Officer/defacto complainant lodged the complaint against the accused stating that the petitioner developed relationship with the victim girls through social media and taking advantage he administered the alcohol to them and committed sexual assault upon them. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he was falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed anticipatory bail for the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the offence are grave in nature. By administering alcohol to the victim girls who are aged about 15 years, he sexually assaulted them. Before that he developed good relationship with them. All the children are friends. Hence, he vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and perused the available records.

6. Considering the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, considering the nature of charges levelled against the petitioner, investigation is in initial stage, I am declined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage.
