Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent. 2.This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.58 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 452 and 506(i) of I.P.C.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.11142 of 2020 3.The defacto complainant is present before this Court through video conferencing. He is identified by his counsel also. The defacto complainant has no objection for quashing the impugned proceedings. When the parties themselves have chosen to bury the hatchet, no purpose will be served by keeping the proceedings alive. The impugned proceedings stand quashed and the criminal original petition is allowed.
