O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction, directing the respondent to sanction loan amount of Rs.4,60,000/- from the petitioner's Provident Fund within the stipulated time.

2.Heard Mr.G.M.Xavier, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4.The petitioner is serving as a Senior Tradesman in the respondent corporation. From 1985, he has been continuously working and rendering 32 years of services without any blemish. Since the petitioner's daughter viz., B.Abinaya, is studying 4th year B.D.S at Madha Dental College and Hospital, Chennai and his son viz., B.Aravindh, is doing 3rd year B.E Mechanical at Madha Engineering College, Chennai, he is required to pay a sum of Rs.4,90,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Ninety Thousand only). Therefore, he submit a letter dated 01.02.2017 to the respondent to sanction loan for the said amount from his Provident Fund Account. In spite of the sufficient amount in the petitioner's Provident Fund Account, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent sanctioned only Rs.30,000/-. Therefore, he has given another representation dated 15.04.2017 requesting them to sanction loan amount of Rs.4,60,000/- from his Provident Fund account. But, till date no steps have been taken in this regard. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.

5.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent sought for sufficient time to consider the representation of the petitioner. 5.In view of the said submissions, this Court finds no impediment to direct the respondent to sanction the loan amount from the petitioner's Provident Fund Account.

6.The petitioner's son and daughter are studying in Dental College and Engineering College respectively, the petitioner is required to pay their tuition fees. Therefore, this Court directs the respondent to sanction the entire amount, as the petitioner has got sufficient amount in his Provident Fund Account, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
