O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by V. BHARATHIDASAN, J.) Alleging that the petitioner's minor daughter, by name Keerthana, aged about 17 years, is found missing and suspecting that the 2nd respondent kidnapped the minor girl, the petitioner, who is the father of the detenue, has given a complaint before the 1st respondent Police. Since no action has been taken, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Earlier, on 06.08.2021, while ordering notice, this Court directed the respondent Police to secure and produce the detenue before this Court.

3. Today, the respondent Police produced the detenue before this Court and when we enquired, she states that her parents left her in her sister's house and from there, on her own, she gone to Samayapuram, stayed there for a week, and thereafter, gone to Melmaruvathur and stayed for some time after that, she went to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.1101 of 2021 Manachanallur Police Station and Manachanallur Police handed over her to the respondent Police. She submitted that now she wants to go with her father. The petitioner's father is also present before this Court and he stated that he is ready and willing to take the minor girl with him.

4. Considering the submissions that the detenue was secured and she wanted to go with her father, no purpose would be served in keeping the Habeas Corpus Petition pending and hence, this petition is closed.
