Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of appeal, dated 22.10.2016 filed by the petitioner and 2 others as against the order passed by the 3rd respondent in Pa.Mu.Kaa2/5223/11, dated 30.08.2016 within the time limit fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of appeal of the petitioner dated 22.10.2016. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would

submit that aggrieved over the order passed by the District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli, the petitioner and two others have preferred an appeal before the first respondent/the Commissioner of Land Administration, in the month of October 2016. Since there is no progress for the past eight months, the present writ petition has been filed seeking the above said relief. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 22.10.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
