: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to close and shift the TASMAC Shop No.6908 from Sevalpatti Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District to some other place by considering the petitioner's representations dated 27.06.2017 and 06.07.2017.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this writ petition to direct the respondents to close the TASMAC Shop No.6908, situated at Sevalpatti Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. When the writ petition was taken up for admission, Mr.M.Muniasamy, learned Standing Counsel for the TASMAC, on the basis of the written instructions from the District Manager, TASMAC, Ramanathapuram District, submitted that the liquor shop in question would be closed by the TASMAC and it would be shifted to another place.

3. The learned Standing Counsel further submitted that the shifting would take reasonable time and as such, the TASMAC seeks four weeks time for shifting the shop. The said submission is recorded.

4. In view of the decision taken by the TASMAC to shift the shop in question, taking into account the objection raised by the local people, we direct the respondents 2 and 3, to close the TASMAC Shop No.6908 presently located at Sevalpatti Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. We grant time till 29 July, 2017 for closing the outlet. We direct the District Collector, Ramanathapuram District to ensure that the shop in question is closed by 29 July, 2017.

5. The writ petition is allowed with the above directions. No costs.
