PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2017 and consequently direct the respondent to release the Original Dhana Settlement Document, bearing Registration No.P229/12 dated 18.07.2012 For Petitioner : Mr.R.Senthilkumar For Respondent : Mr.C.Selvaraj, Special Government Pleader

ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2017 and consequently direct the respondent to release the Original Dhana Settlement Document bearing Registration No.P229/12, dated 18.07.2012.

2.Heard Mr.R.Senthilkumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner was directed to produce the patta, chitta and valuation certificate in respect of the land registered under the document. Since they were not produced, the document was not registered by the respondent. 4.Considering the nature of the limited prayer sought for in the Writ petition and considering the submissions of the learned Counsel for the respondent, without going into the merits of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to necessary parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
