*********** This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide police protection for 3 days on 16.07.2017, 17.07.2017 and 18.07.2017 for the temple festival of "Arulmigu Bagavathi Amman Temple" located at Sadayampatti Hamlet, Kumaravadi Village, Manapparai Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, as per the petitioner's representations dated 10.07.2017 and 12.07.2017 given to the respondents.
2. The learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the petitioner never conducted a festival and the festival is conducted only by the villagers and further submits that the second respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.07.2017 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
will pass appropriate orders.
3. Considering the objections raised by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:
3.1. The second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2017, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and all other interested parties, if any and pass appropriate orders, granting permission to the said function subject to any reasonable restrictions or conditions so as to ensure the public peace and communal harmony and in terms of similar orders passed by this Court, in various cases granting permission to conduct such programs in relation to temple festivals.
4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
