O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 & 2, to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life & limb, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 15.07.2021.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 22.09.2021, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the recommendation has been made by the second respondent to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, to initiate proceedings under Section 145 Cr.P.C. Seeking further information about the stage of the above said proceedings, the matter was listed today.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that in respect of the property dispute, a suit in O.S.No.200 of 2018 is pending before the learned District Munsif, Melur. Due to the above said suit, trouble arose between the parties and recommendation was sent to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur. Now the petition is pending before him.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, to expedite the proceedings, within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the authorities may comply the order passed by this Court. Even though, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, may not a party in this petition.

6.Considering the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, is suo-motu impleaded as necessary party in this petition.

7. The Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the main bundle and after amendment, order copy is to be issued.

8. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, to complete the process within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

9. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
