O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The only request made by the writ petitioner is that the third respondent should dispose of the petition mentioned proceedings on merits and in accordance with law. My attention is drawn to the order dated 12.01.2022 made in W.P. (MD)No.21912 of 2021. A learned Judge of this Court even while declining to issue mandamus, expressed his confidence that the District Revenue Officer, Ramanathapuram District, would expeditiously dispose of the petition mentioned proceedings. Since the proceedings are still kept pending, the present writ petition came to be filed.

I had telephonically contacted the third respondent. The third respondent stated that the next hearing date is 08.07.2022 and that he will pass final order within one week thereafter. Taking note of the said submission, the third respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned proceeding and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law on or before 29.07.2022.

4. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
