Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondent to relieve the petitioner from the post of Assessor as per Officer Order No.1233/F.1/F.12/2016, dated 03.08.2016 on the file of the respondent no.4 enabling the petitioner to join duty as the Junior Auditor in the Audit Branch within the time stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner was selected among others for the post of Junior Auditor in Audit Branch of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and he has also been issued with individual appointment order on 03.08.2016 mentioning clearly therein that the fifth respondent has to relieve the petitioner immediately enabling him to join duty as Junior Auditor. But the grievance of the petitioner is that the fifth respondent has been delaying the process of relieving him. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation on 21.08.2016 requesting the 5th respondent to relieve him quickly. As there is no response, the petitioner is before this Court with the present writ petition.

3.Mr.S.Dayalan, learned Standing counsel for the TNEB, who takes notice for the respondents, submitted that the petitioner shall be relieved within a week's time.

4.Recording the submission of the learned standing counsel for the respondents, the fifth respondent is directed to relieve the petitioner, within one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
