ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to cancel the patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent in respect of the property comprised in Survey Nos.489/7 and 489/9, situate in Putthur Revenue Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property originally belonged to the petitioner's mother-in-law - Karuppayi Ammal, wife of Palaniyandi. After her death, the fourth respondent, who is the son of the deceased Karuppayi Ammal, by suppressing the existence of other legal heirs, obtained patta in his name exclusively . Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent on 15.04.2025, seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent and issuance of

joint patta in the names of all legal heirs of the deceased Karuppayi Ammal. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come forward before this Court by way of this Writ Petition.

3. Mr.M.Gangadharan, Govt. Advocate, takes notice for respondents 1 to 3, and submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 15.04.2025, will be considered on its own merits within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.04.2025, on its own merits and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also the fourth respondent.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 02.06.2025 NCC :
