This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give Police Protection to the petitioner namely, HBN's Affected Peoples Association meeting in connection with the meeting which is scheduled to be held on 20.07.2017 from Morning 10.00 a.m to Evening 4.00 P.m at Lakshmi Mahal Veerapandi, Theni, Theni District.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a company called as HBN Dairies and Allied Limited Company, which has its office at No.303, Varthman chamber, 3rd floor, Sonia Complex, Vikaspuri, New Delhi-110018. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the said company had collected huge deposits from the general public with the assurance that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
deposit amount will be returned after its maturity. It is alleged that the money collected by the said company would cross more than thousand five hundred crores. The members of the petitioner association have deposited their amounts in the said company. Since the members of the petitioner association were defrauded by the said company, the petitioner apprehend that this meeting of the members of the association to discuss the issue about the modalities for getting back the money from the company will be thwarted. In such circumstances, the petitioner association seeks police protection to its members for the meeting scheduled to be held on 20.07.2017.
4.Having regard to the factual submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the respondent police has no objection for giving police protection to the members of the petitioner association to have the meeting in the place indicated above.
5.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent to give Police Protection to the members of the petitioner association to have the meeting which is scheduled to be held on 20.07.2017 from Morning 10.00 a.m to Evening 4.00 p.m. at Lakshmi Mahal Veerapandi, Theni, Theni District. No Costs.
