This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction the respondents to survey and demarcate the petitioner's lands comprised in S.No.205/16 and S.No.204/1B situated at Sakkottai Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Virudhunagar District to an extent of 0.25 Ares and 0.5 Ares respectively by considering his application dated 29.06.2024. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that an online application dated 29.06.2024 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent/Tahsildar to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 29.06.2024 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
