ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders to rectify the error crept in the UDR entry with respect to the Survey Nos. 218/4 and 218/5 (Old S.Nos.218/2A and 218/2B) to an extent of 1 Acre 7 Acres in Chinna Oovalapuram Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, by fixing the name of Kamatchi Thevar based on sale deed dated 23.06.1960 vide Document No.1733/1960, and issue separate patta in petitioner's name, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is tracing title right from 23.06.1960, which stands in the name of the petitioner's grandfather and the SLR also stands in his favour. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to rectify the error crept in the UDR entry.

3. The second respondent / District Revenue Officer, is the competent authority to rectify the UDR error. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to 2/4

consider the same after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the other beneficiaries under the UDR scheme and thereafter, pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
