: Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to permit the petitioner to conduct the "Adalum Padalum" cultural programme during "Arulmighu Sree Mariamman Thirukovil", at Kasba Mentipatti, Mentipatti Village temple festival on 25.07.2017 from 07.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to permit the petitioner to conduct the "Adalum Padalum" cultural programme during "Arulmighu Sree Mariamman Thirukovil", at Kasba Mentipatti, Mentipatti Village temple festival on 25.07.2017 from 07.00 pm to 11.00 pm. 2.The Writ Petitioner has submitted a representation in this regard on 12.07.2017.

4.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court passes the following order:- • The respondent is directed to grant permission to the writ petitioner to conduct "Aadal Padal programme" in connection with "Arulmighu Sree Mariamman Thirukovil", at Kasba Mentipatti, Mentipatti, subject to the following conditions: ● The event shall be conducted in an organised and peaceful manner without causing any law and order problem. ● There shall not be any obscene or vulgar scenes during the dance performance by any one of the participants or others. ● The programme timings shall be between 06.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. on 25.07.2017.

● If there is any violation of the above said conditions, the respondent or the duly authorised officer is entitled to take necessary action as per law and stop such performance.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
