O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2017 for granting adequate police protection during Adi Pooja festival at Arulmigu Periya Kandiyamman Kovil at Chittlarai Village, Musiri Taluk, Tiruchirapalli District on 03.08.2017 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to dispose of the Writ Petition with the following direction:

The second respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2017 and take appropriate action, if required, after giving opportunity to the petitioner, the named individual respondents in this writ petition as well as to the interested persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders on or before 01.08.2017.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD)No.10506 of 2017 is closed.
