Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2017 for granting patta for the petitioner's dwelling house in survey number 53/1, in door number 69, Janaki nagar 1st Street, Cholaialagupuram, Madurai within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2017 for granting patta.

2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The case of the petitioner is that she is a destitute widow.

She is residing in a house in S.No.53/1 of Solaialagupuram, Madurai. She was also provided with the Electricity service connection and she has been paying property tax. She sent a representation to the respondents on 13.02.2017 to grant patta for her dwelling house. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.02.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunities to the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
