For Respondent : Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Section 438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.345 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A-4 apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(c), 29(1) & 25 of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in Crime No.345 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner said to have found in possession of 25 Kg of Seress Drugs (Ganja) in his two wheeler bearing Regn. No.TN-92-C-8186. Hence, a complaint has been registered.

3. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side). https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

CRL OP(MD). No.11038 of 2020 submit that the petitioner is innocent person and based on a confession statement given by A-1 & A-2 the petitioner was arrayed accused No.4. He further submitted that he has no bad antecedents. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail.

5. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side)appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner herein has provided financial assistance for purchasing drugs.

6. Taking note of the submission of the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) and considering the fact that the petitioner only provided financial assistant for purchasing drugs and therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

7. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
